    FixMold High Capacity Moisture Absorber

Most mold problems in South Florida homes do not start with a leak. They start with humidity that has nowhere to go. Closets that stay damp. Bathrooms that never fully dry out between uses. Garages and storage areas where the air sits heavy and still for days. Crawlspaces that nobody checks until something smells wrong. These are the conditions where mold establishes quietly, long before anything is visible.

FixMold's High Capacity Moisture Absorber is an exclusive product developed to eliminate excess moisture from enclosed spaces without over-drying the air, without chemicals and without any ongoing maintenance beyond periodic replacement. It protects fabrics, leather goods, clothing, furniture and stored items from the damp conditions that cause mold growth, mildew odor and material deterioration, making it an essential support tool alongside professional mold remediation services for long-term prevention. Safe for all household environments and effective in any space where moisture and stagnant air create a problem.

One product. Consistent protection. No power source required.

The Moisture Problem That Standard Solutions Do Not Solve

Air conditioning controls humidity across the living spaces of a South Florida home while the system is running. What it does not control is the humidity inside enclosed spaces that are partially or fully isolated from the conditioned air supply. A closet with a closed door. A bathroom cabinet. A garage with minimal air exchange. A crawlspace beneath a raised floor section. A storage unit. A boat cabin. These spaces sit at or near outdoor humidity levels regardless of what the main AC system is doing in the adjoining rooms.

In South Florida, outdoor relative humidity between 75 and 90 percent for most of the year means these enclosed spaces are constantly exposed to moisture levels that create ideal mold and mildew conditions. Fabrics absorb ambient moisture and develop that characteristic musty smell that does not wash out easily. Leather goods develop surface mold. Stored paper and cardboard become damp and begin to deteriorate. Wood furniture and cabinetry in these spaces absorbs moisture, swells and warps. And eventually, if the moisture source is not addressed, mold establishes on the walls and contents of the space and becomes a remediation job rather than a prevention issue.

Silica gel packets are too small in capacity for South Florida's humidity levels. Standard dehumidifiers require power, drainage and regular emptying and are inappropriate for closets, small bathrooms, pantries and storage spaces. Ventilation improvements help but are not always structurally possible or sufficient on their own.

How the High Capacity Moisture Absorber Works

The FixMold High Capacity Moisture Absorber uses a high-capacity hygroscopic compound that actively draws moisture from the surrounding air and retains it within the unit. Unlike small silica gel packets, the high capacity formulation handles the sustained humidity loads that South Florida enclosed spaces generate over weeks and months rather than hours. The compound absorbs moisture continuously without releasing it back into the air, progressively reducing the relative humidity of the enclosed space to levels that mold and mildew cannot thrive in.

The product does not over-dry the air. The absorption capacity is calibrated to bring enclosed space humidity to a safe range without creating the excessively dry conditions that damage plants, crack wooden furniture, cause leather to dry out and split, or affect other moisture-sensitive materials. The result is a stable, protected indoor environment within the space rather than an extreme swing from excessive humidity to excessive dryness.

No power source is required. No drainage setup. No emptying of water tanks. The unit sits in the space and works passively until the compound is saturated, at which point it is replaced.

    Where to Use It

Closets, particularly in bedrooms and hallways where clothing, shoes and leather goods are stored and where the closed door creates a partially isolated environment. Master closets in South Florida homes along the water, in Miami Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isles, Key Biscayne and similar coastal communities face particularly aggressive humidity challenges due to proximity to the ocean and bay.

Bathrooms and laundry rooms where steam and water vapor from daily use create persistent elevated humidity between ventilation cycles. Under-sink cabinets in both kitchens and bathrooms where plumbing penetrations allow humid air to migrate in and standing humidity promotes mold on the cabinet floor and back wall.

Pantries and food storage areas where moisture promotes mold growth on packaged goods, wooden shelving and the walls of the space itself.

Garages and workshops where vehicle entry and exit, limited air conditioning and proximity to the outdoor environment create conditions that are difficult to control by any other means.

Crawlspaces and utility areas where moisture intrusion from the ground or foundation is ongoing and access for regular maintenance is limited.

Boat cabins and marine storage where the combination of proximity to water and limited air circulation when the vessel is not in use creates some of the most aggressive mold conditions encountered in any environment. FixMold's marine remediation division deploys the High Capacity Moisture Absorber as a standard post-remediation prevention measure on every vessel job across Miami's marina communities from Coconut Grove and Dinner Key to Fort Lauderdale's boating corridor.

Storage units and seasonal storage areas where contents are left for extended periods without climate control monitoring.

Part of FixMold's Complete Mold Prevention System

The High Capacity Moisture Absorber is one component of FixMold's broader approach to mold prevention as a complement to professional remediation. After a remediation job is complete, the conditions that caused the original mold problem need ongoing management to prevent recurrence. Professional antimicrobial coating on treated surfaces handles the biological prevention layer. Addressing the moisture source handles the primary cause. The High Capacity Moisture Absorber handles the residual ambient humidity in enclosed spaces that even a properly functioning HVAC system and a properly treated structure cannot fully manage on their own in South Florida's climate, particularly in systems affected by mold in air conditioning and HVAC system where humidity control is critical.

It is available to FixMold clients as part of the post-remediation maintenance protocol and as a standalone product for any property owner across South Florida looking to maintain a mold-resistant indoor environment between professional service visits.

Mold Removed From Your Home. What About Your Body?

A medically guided approach to supporting recovery after mold exposure.
    Miami Fix Mold
    Miami Fix Mold

FixMold focuses on eliminating mold from your environment.

But for some individuals, recovery doesn’t stop there.
Even after successful remediation, the body may continue responding to past exposure. In these cases, a structured, medically guided approach may be necessary to support full recovery.

Why Symptoms Can Continue After Mold Exposure

Removing mold addresses the source of the problem, but it does not always resolve how the body has been affected during exposure.

Environmental toxins can impact multiple systems:
    • Immune function
    • Nervous system signaling
    • Cellular energy production
    • Detoxification pathways

For some individuals, these systems require time and proper support to return to balance.

    Common Post-Exposure Symptoms

    • Brain fog
    • Fatigue
    • Headaches
    • Sinus congestion or irritation
    • Persistent cough
    • Dizziness
    • Light sensitivity
    • Skin irritation
    • Ongoing inflammation

    Important

    • Persistent symptoms do not always indicate something permanent
    • They often indicate that the body has not fully recovered yet

    Recovery Approach

    1. Evaluation & Stabilization
    • Clinical assessment
    • Exposure history review
    • Diagnostic testing

    2. Detoxification Support
    • Nutritional protocols
    • Toxin-binding strategies
    • Antioxidant support

    3. Advanced Therapeutic Support
    • Targeted, medically guided interventions
    • IV-based therapies when appropriate

    4. Cellular Recovery
    • Mitochondrial support
    • Metabolic restoration
    • Nervous system regulation

    Core Focus

    • Detoxification support
    • Immune system balance
    • Cellular energy restoration
    • Nervous system regulation

    Key Principle

Recovery is not about doing more. It is about doing the right things, in the right order.

    Next Steps

If mold exposure has been identified and symptoms are still present, evaluation may provide clarity.
    • Exposure history review
    • Laboratory evaluation
    • Detoxification assessment
    • Symptom analysis

We are here to answer any question you may have.
    +

How long does one unit last before it needs replacing?

Replacement interval depends on the size of the space and the ambient humidity level. In a standard closet in a South Florida home, expect to replace the unit every four to eight weeks during peak humidity months. In drier conditions or smaller spaces, the interval may be longer. When the compound is saturated you will notice the unit has reached its absorption limit and it is time for replacement.

    +

Is it safe to use around clothing, food and children?

Yes. The moisture absorbing compound contains no toxic chemicals and produces no fumes or off-gassing. It is safe for use in food storage areas, children's closets, nurseries and any space where chemical exposure is a concern. This is consistent with FixMold's fully organic approach across all products in our line.

    +

    Can it replace a dehumidifier?

For large open spaces like living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan areas, a powered dehumidifier is more appropriate because those spaces require active air movement to manage humidity effectively. The High Capacity Moisture Absorber is designed for enclosed, lower-circulation spaces where a powered dehumidifier is impractical or unnecessary. The two products complement each other rather than compete. Many FixMold clients use powered dehumidification in main living areas and our Moisture Absorber in closets, bathrooms and storage spaces simultaneously.

    +

Where can I get replacement units?

Contact FixMold directly at 786-882-1823 or through fixmold.com. Replacement units are available to existing clients and to any South Florida property owner looking to maintain ongoing moisture control between professional service visits.
